Back to minimalistic teaware

Tea is one of the only thing in life I am sort of sofisticated about. I own all the teaware required for the ‘Gongfu Style’ tea preparation. This is a ritual I really enjoy as a calming and grounding experience.

However, recent life circumstances are forcing me to go through some changes. For the time being I do not really have access to the space and distraction free environment required for enjoying ‘Gongfu Style’.

I am therefore back to a minimalistic way of preparing tea, as shown in the picture above (chunk of Fu Brick Tea). The truth is, good tea is still good tea. I am liking my temporary minimal tea experience.

Birthday

Happy birthday to me.

I used to downplay birthdays for myself. I was convinced it was just another day. However, there was always a person to share and ‘celebrate’ this day with me.

Today there was no one to share my birthday, and I thought I would make a little gesture for myself. Just as a little ritual.

I did actually spend the day with other people, but I did not feel to tell them about this day. My cat was there for me the whole day.

Things are getting better.

Walking Through Fire #1

Life is a bit like a tunnel. Sometimes it feels like a dark tunnel through the Alps. At times it is more like a futuristic glass tunnel with a great view. The point is that you are always on a road, never completely free.

At the moment I am in the dark tunnel, but some shimmers are appearing. I know there will be a nice view down the road. Maybe even a resting place to share some picnic with like-minded people.
